Privacy notice
Updated 22 October 2026
Score Lab is run by Innoventures (“we”). This notice covers this website and the Score Lab waiting list: what we collect, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do.
The short version
- We keep your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number, to hold your place on the waiting list and email you about it.
- We count visits without cookies. Google Analytics runs only if you allow it.
- We don’t sell your details or use them for advertising.
- You can leave the list at any time with the link in our email, or ask us to delete everything.
What we collect when you join the waiting list
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, if you add one.
- Your company’s name, read from the part of a work email after the @. We don’t look it up anywhere else. For addresses at providers like Gmail or Outlook, we only note that it’s a personal address.
- Where you came from, as one word, for example Instagram, Google or a direct visit.
- The date and time you joined.
What we collect when you visit
We count visitors without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Each day we make a new random key. Your visit is counted under a scrambled code made from that key, your network address and your browser’s name, and the key is deleted the next day, so the code can’t be traced back to you or linked from one day to the next.
For each visit we store only the day, that code, where you came from, your type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and how far down the page you got. We don’t store your IP address or your browser’s details.
To stop automated sign-ups, we also keep a scrambled form of your network address for about a day when you send the form. Like any website, our servers handle your IP address to deliver the page; any technical logs that include it are kept for no more than 30 days.
Google Analytics, only if you allow it
If you press Allow in the cookie notice, Google Analytics sets its cookies (named _ga) and sends Google details of your visit: the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location, and three moments on this page (reaching the score, watching the film and joining the list). We never send Google your name, email or phone number, and advertising features stay off.
You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Saying no removes the Analytics cookies. Your answer is remembered in your browser’s own storage, not in a cookie, and it isn’t sent to us.
What we use it for
- To hold your place on the list and send you two emails: a confirmation now, and one when your number comes up. No newsletter, and no other marketing unless you agree to it separately.
- To see which companies are interested, so we can plan how we open Score Lab.
- To contact you about your Score Lab access by phone, only if you gave us a number.
- To count visits, keep the site secure and stop abuse.
We use your waiting list details because you agree to it when you join, and you can withdraw that at any time. Visit counts and security checks keep the site working and safe, and they aren’t used to identify you.
Who else sees it
- Resend sends our emails, so it receives your name and email address.
- Our hosting provider runs the server and stores the database.
- Google receives visit details, only if you allow Analytics.
These providers act on our instructions and can’t use your details for their own purposes. Some of them process data outside the UAE; where they do, we rely on contracts that protect it. We don’t sell or rent your details, and we share them with no one else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Waiting list details: until you leave the list. If you don’t take up your place, we delete them within 12 months of Score Lab opening.
- Visit counts: the day’s key is deleted after a day, which leaves counts that don’t identify anyone.
- Google Analytics: for the retention period set in our Analytics account, no more than 14 months.
What you can ask us to do
Under the UAE’s Personal Data Protection Law, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the details we hold about you;
- correct them;
- delete them;
- stop or limit how we use them;
- send them to you in a form a computer can read.
Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. To leave the list straight away, use “Remove me from the list” in any email from us: one press deletes your details. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UAE’s data protection authority.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and the database isn’t reachable from the internet. Only a few people at Innoventures can see the list. They sign in with a password and a code from an authenticator app, and every export is logged.
Children
Score Lab is for businesses and professionals. Please don’t join the waiting list if you’re under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your details, we’ll email the people on the list first.
